The Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority mourns the loss of Marcus Walkin on December 21st 2022.
Marcus joined the Engineering team on March 1st 2007 as a Radio Technician responsible for the daily operation of the air traffic control and security screening equipment. Over the years Marcus obtained several certifications landing him the leadership role of being responsible for all TCIAA systems in the department on the island of Grand Turk.
His colleagues in the Engineering department described him as "a generous and committed coworker and friend." They added that Marcus "exemplified life, love, laughter and an irrepressible belief and faith in seeing the best in everyone." Marcus' colleagues concluded "we in the Engineering department will continue to honor him by profoundly feeling and expressing our loss, but also by remembering him as an amazing person who has played a unique and special role in all our lives."
Heartfelt condolences are extended to the family and friends of the late Marcus Walkin from the entire TCIAA team. May he rest in eternal peace.
