The Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority (TCIAA) would like to advise the general public of the progress being made to the airport canopy at Providenciales International Airport (PLS).
The Management at the TCIAA continues to request the patience and cooperation of airport staff and users during the construction of the airport canopy to prepare the PLS for the busy tourism season.
The expansion of the sideway and development of canopy is part of out continuous efforts to reduce congestion and increase free-flow during high traffic times. The TCIAA is proud to advise that the project is more than sixty percent (60%) complete and expected to fully completed by February 2023.
Project Manager, Mr. Lynco Williams, expressed his confidence that the project will be completed no later than February 2023 despite the challenges of working with a restricted area.
